Established in 1976, Solomon Commercials is the leading UK manufacturer of temperature-controlled rigid refrigerated vehicles. Our vision is to innovate tomorrow’s refrigerated vehicles in today’s world, and as a leader in our field, we want to set the standard that others follow.

As an award-winning business, we are perhaps unique in the UK because we design and manufacture everything, from initial concepts to the vehicle leaving our doors. This complete control ensures that we meet and exceed every requirement our customers set out.

We now produce approximately 3,500 vehicles annually across 240,000 sq. ft of production facilities for independent businesses to large SMES and PLCS. Our business has also been involved in several high-profile projects, including Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ first all-electric refrigerated truck and the pilot scheme of a 19-tonne hydrogen-powered truck.

We’ve also grown to be regarded as an innovator and have developed our aerodynamic brand, Slipstream. It reduces refrigeration vehicle fuel costs, emissions and environmental impact. Through technology and research partnerships with leading institutions, we’re committed to driving efficiencies and helping reduce emissions on refrigerated transport.
